We are in trial stages of putting together a beautiful product for carers, families and health care professionals and of the sort, looking after our nations special people who have fallen victim of the awful condition we know as Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Purchasing our final product full of amazing activities and ideas and with many reusable products that will help Cognitive stimulation as it is such a effective strategy for improving cognitive function and the quality of life in individuals with dementia, with the goal of maintaining cognitive function and preventing or delaying cognitive decline.

Trips out of the house

We love our new idea for couples, or maybe just someone on there own, that just wants to get out…

So, many people are living in society today who sadly are very isolated, lonely or maybe just not got a car or over the years lost there circle of friends around them, whatever life has thrown at them, we have come up with a brilliant way of helping people ‘still get out of the house’ with tailored days out, so if it’s a day out at a show, some shopping, a afternoon meeting family in another town, we can help make your day trip come true.

Respite Activities At Home

Respite Care at home with a difference, is our favourite idea we are offering, giving carers a break from their home for that much needed break or maybe attend a appointment, we will happily attend your home and look after the service user with a wide range of activities we have packed away in our special box, which will soon be available to buy!

This method of care as proved very successful so far as it is engaging people and helping with cognitive welfare and is very rewarding seeing people glow in there own surroundings.

Respite/Enabling

We all love a good old day out, making memories or maybe it’s giving a carer a break and taking the service user out, either way, we have many days out over the year, from a good old beach trip with a ice cream to a quiz night in a pub.

We will be putting together a list of ‘things going on in Cornwall’ for 2025 on here in January for anyone wanting to join us over the year, or ask us to take someone out as respite.

However, we always have the rest of the year free for a cup of tea, a dog walk (we have a cute dog) or whatever else you think might help you or someone else.

Who is behind Respite Wright?

I have been super lucky since being here, being born into a family owning a mental health aftercare home my grandparents bought and set up in the 70’s with people affected from the war and who had been kept in a mental health institution that had shut down, So I am very proud of my roots, which is why every business I set up has ‘Wright’ involved, as my family are literally who made me what I am today, I have grown up having a empathy and willingness in helping others in anyway I can, treating service users like family & take pride in everything I do, using good communication, intuition and most importantly excelling in trust as to make service users experiences the top quality experience they deserve.

I have many years of care experience including owning my own community care service Always Wright Care, which has a 5 star review ratings, I've also got much needed domestic experience after owning my own cleaning business and have owned many animals which helps me be able to offer a vast and varied amount of offers as a respite carer.

I hold a OCN in Psychology, health & social care certificate, first aid, moving and handling, medication, food safety, plus many more up to date qualifications.

We are up to date trained, DBS & insured care providers with outstanding references available.
